Each fall, the center hosts the George M. Martin Geroscience Symposium here in Seattle and virtually. The symposium is sponsored by the UW NSC and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, the late George M. Martin’s home for all his exceptional academic life.
The Symposium is a full day of presentations in aging research followed by a trainee poster session and reception. As George was such a keen mentor, additional presentations at the event include external (nation-wide) junior faculty that have received Pilot Project support from our Nathan Shock Center, short talks by our own trainees, plus an hour set aside for a Career Panel Discussion, in addition to the invited keynotes.
