Dr. Bitto is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Comparative Medicine. His research is focused on understanding the interaction between biological aging, mitochondrial function, and metabolic disease. Dr. Bitto was a BMHA post-doctoral fellow on the Genetic Approaches to Aging Training Grant from 2013-2016 and is the recipient of a post-doctoral research award from the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. Dr. Bitto is currently serving as the Trainee Advocate for the American Aging Association.
